CRS science at summer research conferences!
CRS enjoyed this summer’s research conference season! This past June and July, our community members attended and presented at ENDO, ESHRE, and SSR! CRS members traveled to Paris, San Francesco, and Washington DC to partake in fantastic opportunities to engage and learn about the latest development in the reproductive and endocrine fields from leaders and trainees in the field. And of course, CRS’s own faculty, staff, and trainees were an integral part of this year’s programming.
ESHRE, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, was held June 29 – July 2 in Paris, France. Dr. Francesca Duncan had the opportunity to share her lab’s insights in “Developing therapeutic strategies targeting ovarian fibrosis to extend female reproductive longevity”.
This year’s Endocrine Society’s annual meeting (ENDO 2025) was held July 12-15 in San Francisco. Dr. Monica Laronda was the Basic Science Chair for this year’s meeting. The Laronda lab shared their current work, with Janavi Thyagraj, recent MS-RSM graduate, presenting a poster and Dr. Diane Saunders presented as a Meet the Scientist expert on "Mindful Multiplexing: How Imaging and Omics Data can Advance Biology".
The Society for the Study of Reproduction, SSR, had their annual meeting in Washington DC with the theme of “Uniting scientific disciplines for breakthroughs in reproduction.” Drs. Francesca Duncan and Julie Kim served as SSR Board Members, and present and alum CRS community members convened to enjoy the superlative science and to celebrate each other’s accomplishments. Present this year were present CRS members, Dr. Erv Goldberg, Dr. Julie Kim, Dr. Francesca Duncan, Dr. Monica Laronda, Dr. Aubrey Converse, Prianka Hashim, Tracy Zhou and alums Julia Balough, Emily Hayes, Dr. Yu-Ying Chen, Dr. Jiang Zhang, Dr. Shuo Xiao, Dr. Diana Monsivais, and Drs. Teresa Wooduff (past CRS Director) and Tom O’Halloran. This year’s awards ceremony was packed with CRS representatives! Dr. Monsivais received the New Investigator’s Award and Dr. Woodruff received the Carl G. Hartman Award. Drs. Kumar and Goldberg were recognized as part of this year’s Distinguished Fellows class. And with every meeting, CRS gathered together for a round of cheers to celebrate!
Mark 2025 as another stellar summer of research conferences for our CRS community members!
